I have been thinking ways of adding new weapons that are different and aren't just direct upgrades or reskins,today i added the mace a weapon with slow swing speed,low damage but gives a stun effect.

This idea didn't came to my mind for some time until i started playing the new Halo game and remembered that games show you "Press (Interaction key) for (this weapon)" so i came up with a quick script to draw outlined text(drawing the text, then drawing 8 layers in another color for left,right,top,bottom and the 4 corners) that shows your set key, E for default, to pick up weapons and open doors.

I have always loved enemy variety in games even if its small stuff like skins,colors or giant changes like attack patterns and animations, so i redid the orc's body to have 4 different variations(green, dark green, brown and red) instead of the same green, after that i added some hair sprites to be drawn on top of the body and gave them a random color(rgb where red,green and blue can be any value from 0 to 255).

For some reason i didn't consider holding a secondary weapon while having an active one when i was building the foundation for how the weapons are handled but after some days scratching my head and procrastinating i came up with a,very awkward, way of handling having a secondary weapon that works.

Took less time that i expected to replace the old update checker (an annoying popup message with a black box) for this little box.

Added a .3 seconds stun effect, modified its damage and removed its 100% accuracy from all ranges to make it more of a close quarter weapon and give a reason to use the crossbow for long ranges due to its slow reload.

Screenshots
First week of development worked on the player movement and collision, then walking under the trees and some really basic random generation for the trees and rocks.
Around the third week of development the game already had working weapons,armor and orcs,here are some screenshots of testing the orcs dropping loot(left) and wave system(right).
Testing out a new grid based generation algorithm for the trees and rocks after increasing the world size by 150%.
